A weakened Sale 2nd XI travelled to Christleton hoping to put in a positive display after a number of poor performances in recent weeks. Unfortunately for Sale they were put into bat and subsided to 70 all out, only Whitelegg (last man out for 28) and Malik (10) made double figures.
In reply Christleton made short work of their reply, reaching their target for only 2 wickets. The task was made all the easier by the 24 extras conceded by Sale.
