 | Charity Bike Ride - March 17th 2007
On Saturday 17th March 2007 12 dedicated Cricketers completed a sponsored bike ride from Blackpool to Sale in aid of Christie's Hospital Appeal and club funds. As a Community Amateur Sports Club we were able to claim gift aid on much of the sponsorship and increase the amount raised.
Despite a few unintentional detours all made it back safely to Sale, with the help of mobile assistance from Iain Harrop and Danny Stoddard. Many thanks to club captain Mike Halkon who organised this event. As well as raising a sizable sum for a very good local charity we also secured the remaining funds to purchase our new covers, a great legacy for years to come.
